No more paper, no more books....

School is OUT!!!

Friday was Ash's last day of school. The school puts on a dance festival each and every year. It was fun to see the progression of the grades, from the kindergarten "toe-knee, chest-nut" dance, to the swing dance the 6th graders perform.
After all the grades are done everybody is invited to do the "Boot Scootin' Boogie". It is so much fun to watch everyone try to figure out what the...
I would really rather watch than dance. If I danced I would miss the lost expressions. Besides, I wouldn't want to make anyone feel like less of a line dancer.

Ashlyn's class danced to the Lion King's "I just can't wait to be king." I am not sure of the exact title, however that is what we have been singing since the beginning of rehearsals.
Here are a few video clips of her dancing.
Don't forget to pause Jen's tunes and listen to the song.
(That way YOU all can sing it for the next day:D)

Thanks for coming, Mom and Dad.

We were sad to say goodbye to Mrs. Andrews. She is a great teacher with 20+ years experience. We were blessed to be able to be in one of her last years of teaching. Ashlyn has enjoyed having her as her teacher for first grade.

Memorial Day

Memorial day is a day of remembrance.

I love that Ashlyn gets the chance to visit the sites of loved ones who have passed. She was so sweet in her prayers last night... Blessing all those who have gone before us. She loves her Aunt Suzee sooooooo much(even though she was only 8 months when she died.) We all miss her so much IT HURTS!

Thanks, Mom and Dad Blackham for the trip to Moroni and Mt. Pleasant.

We love all of you,and wish so much we could have had more time with our sweet Suzee!

Performer???

I think all would agree, I AM stubborn ;p

Take this test and tell me what you are. He He!

You Are An ESFP
The Performer

You are a natural performer and happiest when you're entertaining others.
A great friend, you are generous, fun-loving and optimistic.
You love to laugh - and you like almost all people equally.
You accept life as it is, and you do your best to make each day fantastic.

In love, you are a smooth talker and incorrigible flirt.
While you get into relationships easily, you don't tend to stick around when times get tough.

At work, you do well in groups. You keep everyone laughing through difficult tasks.
You would make a good actor, designer, or counselor.

How you see yourself: Capable, fair, and efficient

When other people don't get you, they see you as: Incompetent, stubborn, and silly

Go David!

I do not want to sway any votes, or be disrespectful to Utah Idol fans(all of whom seem to think David A. will win...)
Sam and I watched Idol for the second time this season, and we now feel completely ripped off. We always watch the first show and get a great laugh. Last night we found out that we have
been missing out on the music and brilliance of DAVID COOK! We don't usually vote for the "next idol." However, now that we have found The David, we just might.
If you don't believe me keep listening to my tunes, he is gooood!

MOMMY

If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you. Winnie the Pooh (A.A. Milne)

I am so very blessed to be a Mommy. I love this girl. I never knew TRUE love until I became a Mommy. I don't have to work on loving her, it just is.

I am also very blessed to be
surrounded by great role models...

~All that I am or ever hope to be,

I owe to my angel Mother. Abraham Lincoln

It can't be May!

DO YOU SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?
Okay, I am really done with the snow and cold. Sam pointed out tonight that it has been snowing since October- That is EIGHT, yes, EIGHT months! So much for living in a state with 4 seasons. I just had to get that off my back, I feel better. No! Wait! I don't feel better. I am freezing and my heat keeps turning on.
I do feel sorry for the butterflies and birds that thought it would actually be warm when they flew all this way. I hope they don't protest and never come back!
